What is the minimal age when permanent make-up can be performed?

According to the regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers, permanent make-up may be performed starting from the age of 18. The procedure can be carried out earlier with the written consent of one of the parents, on the other hand, the precise age is not specified in the law.



Is the process of tattooing a painful procedure?

Before the permanent make-up procedure is performed, the pigmentation area is anaesthetized with local anaesthesia, which is included in the price of the procedure. Modern topical products work quickly and effectively to eliminate discomfort. Despite the fact that each person has different pain threshold, in our experience, performing of the procedure causes only discomfort. To reduce the pain threshold, try to avoid performing permanent make-up procedure during critical days, and we recommend that you try not to worry, because anxiety increases blood adrenaline level, and therefore anaesthetics’ effect may be weaker than usual.



Who can use the permanent make-up procedure?

Applying permanent make-up is quite simple. After performing the permanent make-up procedure, it is no longer necessary to use make-up every day, the daily make-up application procedure itself becomes much simpler, but the effect is much brighter.

Permanent make-up is in demand for women of different ages due to its naturalness and decorative effect. Depending on what each client wants to achieve, the procedure is suitable for virtually everyone.
Due to its naturalness, men can also use all the benefits of permanent make-up to create accents in facial features, restore symmetry or mask scars.



What are the contraindications for performing the permanent make-up procedure?

People with diabetes mellitus (type 3), moderate to severe cardiovascular disease, epilepsy, asthma, skin diseases in the pigmentation area in the stage of exacerbation, blood diseases; those prone to keloid scars and having an allergic reaction to the components of the anaesthetics or permanent make-up dyes.

It is not recommended to perform the permanent make-up procedure during pregnancy and menstruation, in case of viral diseases and exacerbations of chronic diseases, in case of vegetative dystonia and other vascular diseases.



How does the permanent make-up application procedure work and how long does it take?

The permanent make-up procedure consists of several phases. At the beginning, the master selects a make-up shape suitable for you and applies the drawing with a permanent pencil. If you are satisfied with your future appearance and agree to perform the procedure according to your chosen permanent make-up sketch, the master will start the procedure.

Usually, the permanent make-up procedure takes 30-40 minutes for the eyelid zone, and 1-1.5 hours for the lip zone.
Permanent make-up shape selection, drawing and sketch approval are not included in this time frame.

To achieve the best results, it is necessary to perform an additional permanent make-up procedure, the so-called correction, next month. Permanent make-up correction allows to give the pigmented area a much more intense colour or make it less pronounced at the customer's request; correct the shape or incorrectly pigmented areas, if any.

Be sure to perform the permanent make-up correction procedure even if you are satisfied with its appearance, because the additional procedure will give your permanent make-up an even better look and will significantly increase the life of the permanent make-up. In most salons, correction costs half as much as the first procedure, which will allow you to save a significant sum of money.



What is required for permanent make-up tattoo care?

To completely heal it, apply the products recommended by your master to the permanent make-up area 2-3 times a day. For this purpose, we recommend using cotton swabs; apply lightly in order to avoid forming of a thick layer. When the scab appears, it will disappear on its own, don't tear it!

- Do not stay in the open sun, but if you have to stay in the sun, if possible, be sure to protect the area of permanent make-up with SPF35 cream.

When the natural scab appears in the permanent make-up area (the day after the procedure), try not to moisturise, rub or scratch it, do not use cosmetics, before washing your face or eating, apply the cream recommended by the master on the permanent make-up area. Don’t put band-aid on the permanent make-up area.



How fast does a tattoo heal?

Healing of the skin layer in the permanent make-up area varies significantly from individual to individual and lasts from 3 to 8 days. The skin on the eyebrows and eyelids heals faster than on the lips.

Healing is also faster in young people and people with fast metabolism.

In case of eyelid tattoos, a temporary swelling may appear, which usually resolves on the day of the procedure, after 2-3 hours. There is a possibility that in some people the swelling is still visible the next morning, it should resolve on the second day after the procedure. Whenever there are any questions, please be sure to contact the master who performed the procedure for advice.

A cold, dry compress, which is applied to the eyes for 5-7 minutes, will work very well to reduce swelling.

In case of lip tattoos as well, it is possible that swelling may appear on the day of the procedure, which will disappear within a few hours, just like in case of eyelid tattoos.
